This painstaking method allows artisans to create floating floral or geometric motifs, a craft passed down through generations of Bengal’s master weavers.

    Cotton & Linen Sarees: Use cotton/linen mode. For embellished, printed, or embroidered sarees, avoid home ironing—dry clean instead.

    Silk, Banarasi, Tissue & Organza Sarees: Do not use steam iron. If required, use silk mode at low heat, placing a thin cotton cloth on top as a protective layer.

    Keep sarees in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture.

    For silks and heirloom pieces, refold every 3–6 months to avoid permanent creases.
