The idea of Ethlore began in the middle of a simple conversation at home—one of those afternoons when sarees came out of old cupboards, each wrapped in soft muslin, each holding a memory. Some had faint stains from wedding feasts, some carried the scent of sandalwood drawers, and others were remembered only by the person who once wore them. As the folds were opened, what stood out wasn’t just the fabric—it was the silence that came with them. The kind of silence that feels full—of love, of time, of legacy. That’s when it struck us: sarees are not just clothes. They’re stories.
